Introductory Firearms Course ($150 per Person/4 Hour Course)

Our comprehensive firearms course covers shotguns, pistols, and rifles, including several different types of each to allow you to become a more versatile shooter and even discover new platforms to enjoy.
Any participants in this course receives a 10% discount on any of our other courses, including packaged courses, and which can be stacked with any group discount in Non-NRA Courses. Whether for personal defense, competition, or recreational shooting, Douglass and Locke's Firearms Introductory Course will prepare you to continue to grow on your journey to being the best gun owner you can be.
Safety First, Always: This is a live fire course, and safety is our utmost priority. Our course emphasizes strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a secure and controlled learning environment. Participants neglecting to follow any safety rules may be immediately removed from the course. No refunds or rescheduling are ever possible for participants that violate the safety standards of Douglass and Locke, the Range where the course is taking place, or who may otherwise endanger any individual (including themselves) while participating in the course.

A step by step breakdown of core concepts related to shooting, including but not limited to:
Eye dominance
Hand placement when holding different Firearms
Different shooting stances
A scaffolded escalation to ease newer or more anxious shooters, such as by
Learning grip and stance
Using lower caliber firearms to reduce noise and recoil before moving onto more common calibers
Using a private bay at the range
